Children’s writing has grown in popularity in recent years as a means for farmers and villages to share their experiences and tell tales to youngreaders.

In contrast, the authors of these volumes are the ones who bring the stories about farmers and rural residents together with the primary themes of food, family, and school life.

One well-known favorite is the children’s book series Amos Lee Diary, which is focused on food and family.  The main character of the tale is Amos, a small child whose mother has limited him to dairy keeping with the unusual requirement that he writes the song in the bathroom.

The book series includes Amos’s associations with his friends, family, and school, as well as many types of Mrs. Fitz’s unusual assignments, particularly those about food.

There have been comparisons between the series and Diary of a Wimpy Kid, although the emphasis is on food writing, and the representation is somewhat dramatic.

Another book that discusses children’s experiences growing up in rural and farming communities is a community steer book written by a milk mother.

The book was an all-family project. The project’s motivations came from the family’s support and their passion for teaching. A child is given a different perspective on life and helps to understand the importance of agriculture and food production by this book.

Readers are given the chance to learn about agriculture and food production, as well as how farmers and people who live in rural areas integrate into our society, via the sharing of their experiences and tales.
